The Toffees overcame Blackpool 2-0 in a dominant display at Goodison Park to book their place in the last eight after notching up successive home wins over Tamworth and Fulham.
The victory over Ian Holloway's side last Saturday lined up a clash against Sunderland for a place in the semi-finals and Baines is confident about getting his hands on the cup.
"You've got to believe your name is on the trophy because you've got to this stage of the competition," the left-back told the Daily Post. "You've got to fancy your chances and we're looking forward to the next round.
"I think reaching the final in 2009 helps because with the top sides who regularly get to those latter stages of competitions or in the past maybe with Manchester United at the tail end of a title race, that experience sometimes is what gets them over the line.
"You've got to have experience in the dressing room to play in quarter-finals, semi-finals and hopefully finals."
