Lewington: Out suspended

Lewington: Out suspended

Lewington was dismissed in Saturday's 5-0 home drubbing at the hands of Cheltenham, having deemed to have handled the ball just outside his area to deny onrushing Robins forward Josh Low following a headed back pass from defender Scott Doe.

The Daggers appealed against the decision on Monday but the red card has been upheld, leaving Lewington to face a two-match ban.

"I'm flabbergasted, absolutely flabbergasted," Still told Daggers Player. "When I look at it, how can anyone say he is outside the box when he touches the ball? It's not possible to tell, so he can't give it as he can't see it."

Still is now looking for emergency cover, which includes the option of a recall for veteran Tony Roberts. He added: "We'll bring someone in on the short-term, we have a few options we are looking at at the moment and we'll decide which is the best option to take."

Meanwhile, Dagenham crashed out in the semi-finals of the Essex Senior Cup on Tuesday night having lost 6-5 on penalties at Canvey Island.

here has only been 3 players who made me hold my breath in dread when they picked the ball up anywhere near our penalty area...in their prime Scholes and Giggs... and always Drogba. Awesome player who on his day was the best striker in the world in my opinion.

I

remember him scoring a 25-yarder, either the season just gone or the one before, against Bolton at the Reebok. I've never seen a ball hit that hard before in my entire life. You could almost feel the shockwave from his foot contacting it 40 yards away in the stands. Didier Droga. You might not have loved him, but you just had to be in awe of him.

den Hazard, def. - 1) that girl in a club who makes eyes at you all night, who allows you to buy her a drink and walk her home arm in arm, who then gives you a suggestive kiss on her doorstep before declaring how tired she is and how she has to be up early the next day. 2) A cock tease.
