Paris St Germain central defender Sammy Traore has revealed he hopes to move to the Barclays Premier League this summer.
The 32-year-old, who has played his entire career in France, joined the capital club in 2006 but spent last season on loan at Auxerre after his chances of a starting place became limited at the Parc des Princes.
"I want to play in England. And in the top flight," he told French newspaper Le Parisien.
"That destination attracts me. The atmosphere there is unique. Truly, I see myself going and trying my luck there.
"In England there are plenty of scraps to get involved in and I really like physical battles. And I can get by in English."
When asked if he had received offers from any Premier League clubs, however, he replied simply: "Seeing as nothing is signed, there's nothing to comment on."
