Djibril Cisse hopes to make his Sunderland debut at Tottenham tomorrow after completing a move back to the Premier League.
Cisse, 27, signed for the Black Cats on a season-long loan deal yesterday, becoming Roy Keane's fifth major signing of the summer.
And the French international was quickly followed through the door by Fulham striker David Healy, who signed a three-year deal at the Stadium of Light for an undisclosed fee.
Both players are likely to go into Sunderland's new-look squad for the game at White Hart Lane.
It is a statement of intent from Keane, and former Liverpool man Cisse is expecting big things from the Wearside club this season.
He said: "I think we can fight with the big clubs and achieve things, I was pleased with the project Sunderland had to offer.
"Sunderland have big players, a nice stadium, big fans - they have everything to achieve good things. I hope to score a lot of goals and help Sunderland to the top part of the table.
"I'm excited, really. I hope to be allowed to play on Saturday and show what I can do, show the club that they were right to trust me. I'm fit, I'm ready to go.
"Spurs is a tough game but there is a lot of quality here, I think we can surprise them."
Healy, who was at Manchester United as a youngster when Roy Keane was captain of the Old Trafford club, is pleased to join the ambitious Black Cats.
He said: "I'm hungry to do well here. I hope to bring goals and energy to the side.
"When a club the size of Sunderland comes in for you it is an easy decision.
"I have met Niall Quinn and Roy Keane, two legends of the game, and it inspires me.
"I can't wait to pull on the jersey, I'm thrilled and excited. The ambition of the club is huge, it is a club on the up."
The ex-Fulham man played for Northern Ireland in their 0-0 draw with Scotland at Hampden on Wednesday night, seeing his penalty saved by Allan McGregor.
"I've not played that many games but I played 90 minutes on Wednesday so that will help my fitness," said Healy. "I hope to be involved [on Saturday], we'll see how it goes.
"I'm looking forward to the challenge. Tottenham is a tough challenge and it would be great to go there and get a result, get off to a winning start."
