Wales' resources will be stretched to the limit by two vital matches in 24 hours at the weekend - but Brian Flynn believes they can cope.
Wales Under-21s must play England at Ninian Park on Friday in a UEFA Championship play-off first leg while the following day the seniors take on Liechtenstein in a World Cup qualifier at the Millennium Stadium.
The demands of two such games are daunting for Wales, especially as the double header will be closely followed with the Under-21 second leg next Tuesday at Villa Park and the seniors' clash in Germany a day later.
While England could probably field two or three different sides at Under-21 level, Wales will have to include 17 and 18-year-olds, with John Toshack's seniors also boasting a youthful look about them.
But Under-21s boss Flynn said: "We have spent four years building up our squad of youngsters for both Under-21s and the seniors.
"It is no accident, there has been nothing lucky about it. We hoped for one or two youngsters each year reaching senior level, but we have produced a dozen or so. So we are a bit ahead of ourselves.
"These two games are very important and I believe we have the talent here to cope with them."
And in Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey, Flynn sees a player who will be crucial to Wales for at least a decade.
He said: "I've been watching Aaron since he was 14. He can be anything he wants to be in the game.
"Age for age, he is as good as Cesc Fabregas. I see him as a top six Premier League player, and a top international player anywhere in Europe.
"He can be a major influence for us. He always has time on the ball.
"At this stage, this age, he is as good as Cesc Fabregas. He is a young man, not a boy, moving to London and establishing himself.
"He is quite something, and I can compare him to one of the best youngsters in the world in Fabregas. And the best thing is that he's Welsh."
Wales have lost Joe Ledley, Freddy Eastwood, Brian Stock and Robert Earnshaw to injury, and have called up Wrexham defender Steve Evans, while adding his club-mates - brothers Marc and Mike Williams - to the Under-21s.
The Wrexham trio's call-up means Saturday's Blue Square Premiership match between the Dragons and Histon is off after the teams came to an agreement to postpone the fixture.
Wales will be boosted by the return of skipper Craig Bellamy after a year of injury problems.
Bellamy said: "I am looking for a good run of games now. This last year is the hardest I have ever worked.
"I have really dedicated myself to putting the injury behind me. I have put so much hard work into trying to improve myself and look after myself. It's really important.
"I'm a big believer in being a good professional and hopefully that will come out in the next couple of days.
"My lifestyle is as professional as it can be to be honest. I have a wife and kids now."
