Southend manager Steve Tilson is aiming to heap more misery on Chelsea in Wednesday's FA Cup third-round replay.
The Shrimpers are no strangers to causing huge upsets, having knocked Manchester United out of the Carling Cup two seasons ago.
Now they have another chance of cup glory against top-flight giants after former England Under-21 defender Peter Clarke scored a last-minute equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
With Chelsea's Barclays Premier League title hopes having been dealt a major blow by their 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday, some would see it as the perfect time to face Luiz Felipe Scolari's wounded side.
Tilson said: "Hopefully we can add to Chelsea's woes. We'll give it our best shot and hopefully play well, have some luck and they'll have an off day.
"But we have to remain realistic - they are in the top two of the Premier League and we're in League One."
Tilson is fully aware of the size of the task in hand and he believes Chelsea's defeat against United could actually hamper his side's chances of progression.
He told www.football-league.co.uk: "It's a big night and we're up against one of the best sides in the world with some top, top players.
"And them losing on Sunday wasn't a good result for us - the manager will give them a right kick up the backside and I'm sure they'll put their best side out."
Southend can take heart from the fact that Chelsea have played League One or League Two opposition in the third round in four of the last five seasons and have failed to prevent the minnows from scoring each time.
So another goal from Tilson's men cannot be ruled out, although the Shrimpers boss is still struggling to find any weakness in his opponents.
He added: "I'll put up on our board before the game: 'Weaknesses - none, they don't have any!'
"But we'll be positive and you never know what might happen.
"We'll try to stay in the game as long as we can, and the longer it goes the more nervous they'll get."
Southend made it as far as the fifth round of the FA Cup in 1976, but that was the only highlight of a forgettable year that saw them relegated to the fourth division.
Tilson will be without the injured Francis Laurent and suspended Alan McCormack. Midfielder McCormack serves a one-match ban after accumulating five yellow cards. He had been due to miss Saturday's league clash with Crewe, but the match was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
Forward Damian Scannell is available following his return from a disappointing loan spell with League Two side Brentford.
